Every project provides an opportunity to do better - reducing energy use, lowering the upfront carbon in the construction, even just making a small impact to improve the way someone lives.

SIPSeed is a project that seeks to provide all three of these. This pilot project consists of a prefabricated unit that delivers an additional flexible space for those who need it, at a reasonable cost, and without compromising on quality or performance.

Designed to minimise waste, the SIPs shell provides an appropriately insulated form, externally clad in recycled materials. Timber joinery with carefully specified glazing and exterior shading where required, are paired with a balanced ventilation system inside to ensure a healthy, comfortable space - with waste reduction, energy and carbon modelling driving & informing the design and specification.
