A compact, but beautiful home outside of Wellsford for a young family, taking precedence from tramping huts and shelters.
On an amazing exposed rural section, north of Auckland, utilising Formance Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), StopDigging ground screws, Starke joinery and aiming for Passivhaus certification; the project will also be totally off-grid due to the isolated location. The design acknowledges the context, and takes precedent from tramping huts and shelters to provide a compact but comfortable new home for a young family. Robust, simple, high performance; but with beautiful moments and features that intrigue and delight – the project is nearing Building Consent, and I can’t wait to get it on site! |
